Finally, User-Generated Content receives the attention it deserves. Although it’s still too little compared to its powerful and traceable positive impact on millennials, in 2016 we witnessed how UGC’s popularity spread like wildfire among the innovative marketers.
We believe UGC has the quality of an evergreen, forever growing content – it becomes a value to cultivate, and not just an opportunity you find down the road. It’s also not a trend on its own, but the source of content that engages at the right time, and a place to spot the trends that arise inside communities. It is the medium to carry on the message and the trends.
For us, it is the third year to engage in this mission- to make UGC more accessible. It is the unrated value on which a lot of us are sitting on without notice. In this time we’ve built this platform from scratch to aggregate 9 social sources and counting on.
While we keep on innovating the search for creative social content, let’s have a quick look at the highlights of the year at Lobster.
New Features and Partnerships
New Content Platforms. We’ve doubled the number of social sources by adding Facebook, VK, Vimeo, Dropbox and Verizon. These open a new window to a pool of more creative content along Instagram, Flickr, YouTube, Google Photos.
New Tech. 2016 was definitely the year of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It was also the year we’ve introduced them for a precise AI filtering.
New Partnerships. We partnered up with creative platforms like Moonfruit. Visit our API playground here.
