Recently Lobster’s Ambassador for Brazil, Iuri Guntchnigg, took over the Lobster Instagram to answer your questions and give you advice on improving your photography game. For those of you that missed it, here are a few of our highlights:
Where are you based?
I’m based in Porto Alegre in Rio Grande do Sul-Brazil
Do you have a favourite lens?
For now, I have two favourite lenses: My Canon 24-105mm L F/4.0 (my first use lens) and a 10-18mm (love wide angle!)
What is the most important equipment you take when travelling?
Backup batteries! And of course, my regular gear.
Always have my backup batteries and memory cards.
What motivates you to continue taking pictures?
At the first moment, for my memories to save that little special moment forever.
Another thing, the smile in the face of the people when they see a different view from places they see every day!
What is one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?
One simple thing: Simplicity
Photography is about history, moment, passion. Not only technical stuff.
Whose work has influenced you the most?
Trey Ratcliff is amazing, his photos always told a history and Sebastião Salgado! These guys are my heroes in the photography.
